Errors and limits

When something goes wrong you get a code an app can act on and a message a person can read.

Every error has the same shape: a code, a message, and sometimes a field or retry_after. Act on the code; the message is written for a person.

Error codes

UNAUTHENTICATED

The sign-in or key is missing, expired or removed. Sign in again or make a new key.
HTTP 401

ORG_NOT_GRANTED

This connection wasn't given that business. Reconnect and tick it.
HTTP 403

SCOPE_MISSING

The connection doesn't have the permission this needs.
HTTP 403

ROLE_FORBIDDEN

Your role in that business can't do this.
HTTP 403

AGENTS_PAUSED

An owner or admin paused AI apps for this business. Ask them, don't retry.
HTTP 403

NOT_FOUND / REF_NOT_FOUND

No such item, page or node. Read again for the current ids.
HTTP 404

REVISION_CONFLICT

The design changed since you read it. Read again and resend.
HTTP 409

SLUG_TAKEN / CODE_TAKEN

That address or product code is already used.
HTTP 409

INVALID_OP / INVALID_VALUE / PROPERTY_NOT_ALLOWED

A design change isn't valid. The message names the op and field.

VALIDATION_FAILED

A value isn't accepted. The message says which and why.

PUBLISH_TOKEN_INVALID

The token was used, expired, or is for another change. Preview again.

MEDIA_TOO_LARGE / MEDIA_FETCH_FAILED

An image is over 10 MB, or its address couldn't be fetched.

RATE_LIMITED

Too many calls this minute. Wait and retry.
HTTP 429

BUSY

The same request is still running, or someone is editing in the dashboard. Wait retry_after seconds.
HTTP 503

INTERNAL

Something broke on our side. Try again; if it keeps happening, write to support@opmiz.com.
HTTP 500
The numbers are the HTTP status the REST API answers with. Over MCP the same code comes back in the tool result.

Limits

Calls

120 a minute per connection or key, of which 30 may change something.

Images

JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 10 MB each. No SVG.

Imports

Up to 1,000 items or 20 MB per file, one import at a time per business.

Design changes

1 to 50 ops per call, all applied or none.

API keys

Up to 20 per business, each for 90 days.

Retrying safely

Creating an item or adding an image takes an idempotency key (Idempotency-Key header on the REST API). Sending the same key again within 24 hours returns the first result instead of making a second copy.
